To make bobbin lace in wire the wire is required to be fine enough to work the pattern but strong enough to be worked.  Jan has spent some time trying out various wires and has found that the 0.2mm diameter wire we stock to be the most accommodating.

This wire is enamelled in the most rich colours and, because enamelling is permanent, will not fade.

We supply all the following colours in handy reels containing approx 10grms of wire which is generally more than sufficient to work our wire patterns and many other typical jewellery designs.
