Workshops are held at the Idmiston and Porton Memorial Hall here in Porton.

Each workshop is limited to a maximum of 16 students

Bayeux Lace

This is a beautiful and delicate lace from Normandy France.  The one day workshops cover the skills required to successfully make this lace.

Christmas Delights

Have fun on the one day workshop making tree decorations etc using metallic thread and beads.  Mince pies supplied!

Jewellery

Make beautiful Jewellery using bobbin lacemaking techniques. These items can be made in either metallic thread or enameled copper wire. Both types can be embellished with beads.  Patterns are available to suit all levels of skill from complete beginner to advanced.

Needle Lace

This type of lacemaking uses needle and thread instead of bobbins and pillow. In these one day workshops students explore techniques useful in making this type of lace.
