Lacewing Designs offers a
variety of classes on lacemaking in a range of techniques, lace design,
Jewellery and using lace in textile art.
MAKE LACE SUNDAYS
AT PORTON
Make Lace Sunday workshops are an opportunity to
have the time to look at some aspect of lacemaking new to you, start a new
pattern or finish off something nearly completed. The plan of the day is
to make lace in a friendly and supportive atmosphere with Jan's expertise
available to help where needed. Just bring your project and your lunch. Tea,
Coffee, Biscuits etc are provided.
Join Jan and fellow students to have fun making lace for a day.
Workshops are held at the Idmiston and Porton Memorial Hall
here in Porton.
Each workshop is limited to a maximum of 12 students.
£30.00 per person per day. (Refreshments included)

How to Register
- Send an e-mail message to
Jan@lacewingdesigns.co.uk with the name of the class and date in
the subject line.
- When you receive a response, confirming place availability and your
provisional registration, send a £5:00 non-returnable deposit to the address
shown.
- When you receive confirmation of your registration, print it.
- Bring your confirmation to the scheduled class session.
- Other Subjects that are available to learn in Sunday
Workshops.
- Bayeux Lace

This is a beautiful and delicate lace from Normandy
France. The one day workshops cover the skills required to successfully
make this lace.
- Christmas Delights

Have fun on the one day workshop making tree
decorations etc using metallic thread and beads. Mince pies supplied! - Jewellery

Make beautiful Jewellery using bobbin lacemaking
techniques. These items can be made in either metallic thread or enameled
copper wire. Both types can be embellished with beads. Patterns are
available to suit all levels of skill from complete beginner to advanced. - Needle Lace
-
This type of lacemaking uses needle and thread instead
of bobbins and pillow. In these one day workshops students explore
techniques useful in making this type of lace.
